What to do in Canary Wharf

Up above the grey and metal, the Crossrail Place Roof Garden is one of the biggest in London – and only a 15-minute stroll from Landmark Pinnacle. Sitting on the Meridian Line, the Garden’s lush planting mirrors the east and west hemispheres, with Asian bamboo and Japanese maple sitting alongside ferns and sweet gum from the Americas. Its funky geometric windows offer spectacular views and a 80-seat performance space showcases a programme of music, dance and theatre in summer. As London’s chief financial district, Canary Wharf knows a thing or two about hosting well-heeled visitors. Among the district’s best restaurants are BOKAN 37 (4-minute walk), serving cocktails and modern European fare with a side of stunning panoramic views. There’s also Bombay café Dishoom’s ninth outpost dishing up Maharashtrian-influenced small plates (15-minute walk), Caravan offering globally inspired sharing plates and pizzas (9-minute walk), and Uoichi for traditional Japanese food (15-minute walk).
